mcfd_ambulanceMarion County Fire District No. 1 is accepting applications to establish a hiring list for the position of lateral and entry-level Paramedic.

Marion County Fire District No. 1 is accepting application packets for the position of Single-Role EMT and Paramedics to establish a hiring list for projected vacancies.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

• High School Diploma or GED
• Current Oregon EMT or Paramedic; or NREMT EMT or Paramedic and able to obtain Oregon Certification prior to hire.
 • Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Oregon driver license prior to hire.

DESIRABLE EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

• NFPA Instructor I
• ACLS certification
 • PALS or PEPP certification
• EMS field experience
• NFPA Driver, EVOC certification, or equivalent
 • NIMS IS-100, 200, 700, and 800
 • NFPA HazMat Awareness, or equivalent

COMPENSATION

EMT: $4,800.61 – $6,000.76 Monthly
Paramedic: $5,184.66 – $6,480.82 Monthly
Additionally, a generous benefit package including Oregon PERS with employer contribution, employer contributed HRAVEBA and health/dental/vision/life insurance. This is an IAFF Local 2557 represented position.

EVALUATION TIMELINE

Qualified candidates will be invited to an assessment center. An extensive background check including driving record, reference check and psychological exam will be conducted prior to final offer.
