NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR SINGLE ROLE PARAMEDIC

mcfd_ambulanceMarion County Fire District No. 1 is accepting application packets for the position of Single-Role Paramedics to fill (3) new 12 hour or 48-hour shifts (48/96 Schedule) and establish hiring list for projected vacancies.

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED

Current Oregon EMT Paramedic; or NREMT Paramedic and able to obtain Oregon certification prior to hire.
• Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Oregon driver license prior to hire.
• NFPA Driver, EVOC certified, or equivalent.
• NFPA HazMat Awareness, or equivalent.
• NIMS IS-100, 200. 700, and 800.

DESIRABLE EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS

• NFPA Instructor I.
• Associate degree in Paramedicine (Lateral).
• PALS or PEPP Certified
• 1 year comparable department field experience

COMPENSATION

Monthly wage of $5,183.30– $6,5070.77 depending on experience. Additionally, a
generous Benefit package including Oregon PERS with Employer Contribution, Employer contributed HRAVEBA and Health/Dental/Vision/Life Insurance. This is an IAFF Local 2557 represented position.

EVALUATION TIMELINE

Qualified candidates will be invited to an assessment center in December 2024 (Final date to be announced later). Candidates will participate in the MCFD1 physical abilities testing during the assessment or may substitute this portion by submitting a valid (dated within 12 months) CPAT card. An extensive background check including driving record, reference check and psychological exam will be conducted prior to final offer
