Kyle McMann
Fire Chief
Kyle McMann joined MCFD1 in 2001 as an Engineer/Paramedic after completing the Chemeketa Fire Program and Umpqua Paramedic Program. He has served in several capacities over his MCFD1 career, including Firefighter, Engineer, Captain, Emergency Medical Services-Operations Captain, Battalion Chief, and Deputy Fire Chief. He also serves as a Task Force Leader for the Marion County Fire Defense Board for Wildland Conflagrations.
Chief McMann possesses an Associate’s Degree in Fire Science, Emergency Medical Services – Paramedic, an Associates Degree in Nursing, a Bachelor’s Degree in Fire Services Administration, a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, and a Master’s Degree in Executive Fire Officer Leadership.
Chief McMann served as IAFF (International Association of Fire Fighters) Local 2557 President. A native Oregonian, he lives in Salem with 2 German Shepards and several Siamese cats. His daughter is in college studying Nursing. Off duty, he enjoys traveling, spending time with family, kayaking, biking, and watching football.
