Kris Boyer

Battalion Chief

Kris Boyer started employment with Marion County Fire District No. 1 in January 1993 after graduating from Chemeketa Community College’s Fire Science program. His current position as Battalion Chief is responsible for managing the emergency response of fire crews as well as managing safety and training. This position supervises a third of emergency response personnel, B shift.

The last position held was engine captain from October 2000 until 2018.

When not working for MCFD1, Kris likes to travel, camp, and hike mountain trails with his wife, Andi.
